Sponsor a Named Internship
Are you interested in sponsoring a Named Internship? A PILI Donor may designate a sponsored internship according to a personal interest by selecting:
- a substantive area of law (health law, civil rights) as the focus of the intern’s work;
- a specific PILI-affiliated host agency as the recipient of the Named Internship;
- a certain client/intern demographic, such as race, gender or age;
- the intern according to his or her law school or undergraduate institution;
or by permitting PILI to designate the internship at an agency where the need is greatest.
Dependent upon the designation selected, the donor will have an opportunity to review a list of PILI-affiliated agencies, interns’ resumes, or a list of participating law schools to identify the precise benefactor of the PILI Named Internship.
A donor may select the exact name of the sponsored internship. Choices include:
- in the name of the donor;
- in honor of a colleague, friend, family member, cause, or organization; or
- in memory of a colleague, friend, or family member.
Your financial contribution will make a difference in the education of a law student, and in the lives of poor, low income and underserved people. Supporting a PILI Named Internship is a sound investment that nurtures the best qualities in an emerging lawyer and creates the opportunity for healthier, safer, more prosperous futures of those benefiting from the legal assistance that emerging lawyer provides.
